As we make decisions going forward, we will be reviewing the ever-evolving information regarding coronavirus, consulting with health officials, and communicating future plans. We will continue to follow CDC and other epidemiological recommendations which support preventative measures to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus in our community. It bears repeating that we have not been notified of any school or community member who has been diagnosed with this virus.   We will continue to share updated information as it becomes available.

We appreciate your partnership, and we will get through this together.

Dear Parents,

All Connections Academy East students will partake in an e-Learning experience to ensure continuation of education during this unprecedented time.

What is e-Learning

The definition of e-Learning is "learning conducted via electronic media, typically on the Internet. " In this situation, we will be providing activities, information and resources remotely for our students in order to ensure learning continues.  This process is new for everyone and the goal is to keep learning moving forward for students over an extended period of remote learning, while trying to ensure that the daily demands for students, teachers and families are manageable.

Please remember to be flexible.  Teachers will be flexible in terms of student technical difficulties and deadlines, especially for graded assignments.  Students will need to be flexible in terms of technical difficulties and teacher response times.  We ask parents to be patient with both students and teachers as we navigate this system.

Teacher Expectations for e-Learning:

Staff are working hard to create learning opportunities for students. Online resources and activities will be uploaded and accessible by 8:30am every morning. Teachers will be online and available each day from 8:30 am. - 2:30 pm.

If your child receives services (such as counseling services, occupational therapy or speech language therapy) those staff will contact you directly to share resources or ideas.

Student Expectations & Schedule for e-Learning:

Students should be accessing the e-Learning through their Google Classroom website and completing the activities as listed under each subject area. All students are expected to be onlin from 8:30 am. - 2:30 pm. and attendance will be taken.  You teacher will let you know when the class will have free time/lunch and we are asking that you put all technology down and do something different.  Students can also download Google Classroom on their cell phone if they do not have a computer and can complete their work and submit it on their as well.

Staff Schedule for e-Learning

All school staff are working during the e-Learning days. Please reach out through email if you have questions or concerns.  Students must email staff from their Connections email and not their personal emails.
