Admission to the Connections Organization schools begins with an initial referral from the student’s home school district or the special education cooperative that represents the district.  These referrals go directly to the school of choice at which point the school Principal will review the student’s records (including current IEP, most recent Multidisciplinary Conference Reports, Case Study Evaluation, psychiatric and psychological reports) and an “intake interview” will take place.  Eligibility for the program will be determined and will be reported back to the referral source.

Referrals can be sent to Elaina Shannon, Principal of Connections Academy East via email:

School district referral packets for therapeutic day school programs should include:

  • Most recent IEP

  • Most recent case study evaluations

  • Health information

  • Transcripts (high school students only)
